The Metzeler SPORTEC™ 01 is a hypersport-oriented motorcycle tyre designed for wet and dry road riding. It combines DYNATREAD™ adaptive tread technology, high-silica dual compounds, 0° steel belts and dedicated front and rear constructions to support water evacuation, warm-up, precise steering, braking stability and cornering grip.

Positioned between the supersport and hypersport categories, the SPORTEC™ 01 combines an adaptive tread design, high-silica dual compounds and dedicated front and rear structures. The result is a tyre intended for everything from wet urban roads to fast road riding and occasional track use.

How Does DYNATREAD™ Technology Work?


DYNATREAD™ is a dynamic tread-pattern technology first introduced on the Metzeler ROADTEC™ 02 and adapted here for supersport riding.

At lower speeds, the tread grooves remain open beneath the contact area. They are designed to support water evacuation, tread mobility and faster warm-up.

During harder braking or acceleration, the grooves compress. According to Metzeler, this increases the tyre’s contact area and supports stability, grip and traction.
